Discover Zaragoza’s history through the wine and food from Aragon

Strap on a pair of comfortable walking shoes and join a group of travelers on this culinary journey through Zaragoza’s historical center.

During this fully immersive 3-hour tour, you will visit the most emblematic historical and cultural landmarks of bustling Old Town, in the company of Jorge, your local sherpa. The tour will begin with a visit to a neighborhood food market, where you will meet local vendors and taste some of their typical regional products. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating stories about local traditions and the styles of architecture encountered. You’ll also get a fresh perspective and the inside scoop on life in Zaragoza.

The tour will highlight the unique cuisine of the city with stops at specialty gourmet stops, where you will learn about the classic dishes locals enjoy the most. You’ll also stop at 2 authentic tapas bars to try some Zaragoza-style tapas along with wines from the Aragon region. This is your opportunity to learn from a local how to pair delicious Spanish cuisine with the region’s fabulous Carignan wines. Spend the day soaking up the sounds, sights and flavors of Zaragoza, discovering the hidden gems off the beaten tourist path!

Great way to experience Zaragoza & Jorge also speaks German & he teaches cooking lessons too
Jorge kindly offered to run the tapas tour with just myself- although normally it’s minimum 2 persons. As I am a guide myself, he offered to make such an exception for me. Zaragoza is not so well known by tourists but as the ancient capital of Aragon, it is an amazing city with loads of beautiful architecture, going back to Roman era.

My only critical feedback for Jorge is to maybe tell more personal stories about the people who feature in Zaragoza’s recent and historic events, as I think this is one feature of a guided tour, which brings history alive.

Thanks for a great tour!
