On this tour you will walk around the Jewish Quarter of Cordoba and visit some of the city’s most famous patios, that have been awarded prizes in the past few years. You learn all about the main architectural differences between the two types of patios you will see in Cordoba. The first is a one-family home where the rooms are displayed around the courtyards and the second type is called a neighbor’s house (casa de vecinos), a place where the individual home looks out onto the courtyard with long balconies, staircases and baked clay roof tiles.
Finally, we will have a good time drinking regional wine and eating tapas with live local music.

At the age of 18, Diego left his home town of Cordoba to gain international experience, which he did by living and working in more than a dozen cities across Spain and Europe. Cordoba is his home, though, and his wine and food tours explore the history and traditions of the city that he loves. You will almost certainly get a culinary experience like no other when your go on tour with Diego.
Fantastic Tapas tour with Diego!
We had an amazing night in Córdoba with Diego. He gave us a wonderful tour of the city, telling interesting history and gave us exclusive access to several patios. The city is abosolutely gorgeous. He then took us to some restaurants in the “new city” (aka outside the tourist zone in the old town). We ate wonderful food, had excellent drinks and left full and happy. The Tapas Tour with Diego is a must while in Córdoba!
Simply the best!
We thoroughly enjoyed our foodie tour with Diego. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about his native city of Córdoba and makes the city come alive for the visitor. This tour was the highlight of our three day visit in Córdoba. He contacted us in advance to seek our input and then went about incorporating what we wanted to do along with his own suggestions. We were able to visit several patios which were spectacular and met with one of the owners of an awarding winning patio. The tapas and wine at a local taverna were delicious and we especially enjoyed the goat and ox tail brochettes. It was a fun filled evening and we have Diego to thank.
This was such a great experience that was wonderfully customised for the season, where we got to see different patios participating in the patios festival. We didn’t get to meet Diego but he’s the one who took care of all the communication and arrangements before the day of the experience — then kept us in Tiago’s safe hands. Tiago is a lovely person who’s not only knowledgeable but also flexible to attend to what you want to see and do. We loved all the stops but the highlight was the lunch break at a terrace with a wonderful view of the historic centre. Not to mention the gastronomic experience that offered local delicacies. Our day in Córdoba couldn’t be spent anyway better than this — thank you Tiago and Diego!
